The CEO Agenda in the Digital Economy: The Future Enterprise
IDC’s research shows that the proportion of global GDP that is driven by digital products, services and experiences is growing exponentially.
However, in parallel, CEOs are under significant pressure to execute to transform their organizations into what IDC terms the Future Enterprise – tech everywhere, platform-enabled, ecosystem-centric and where innovation is the norm.
Philip Carter, Chief Analyst, Europe at IDC will dive into this topic this during his keynote “The CEO Agenda in the Digital Economy” at the NYC CDO Summit on May 6, 2020 at Columbia University.
In this session, Phil will share IDC’s findings from its recent CEO survey and recent best practice examples highlighting the priorities and challenges shaping the C-Suite agenda for the digital economy and what this means for technology leadership (and in particular the CDO) in the future.
Philip Carter is Chief Analyst for the European region. This new role has been created specifically to drive innovation in new research topics and deliverables, to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing, and to increase customer satisfaction.
Carter will continue to manage the European Enterprise Infrastructure and Software Group. This group comprises a team of analysts that cover the infrastructure, middleware, and applications software markets and is tasked with writing and presenting on broader enterprise infrastructure software trends and the impact of emerging technology areas such as Big Data, cloud, mobility, and social as they relate to the European region.
Carter is regularly featured on mainstream media such as CNBC and Bloomberg, and in global publications such as the New York Times. Carter previously worked in IDC’s Asia/Pacific region, covering the software, services, channels, and sustainability research areas. Before joining IDC, he worked at SAS Institute (both in EMEA and Asia/Pacific) in marketing strategy, product management, and business development roles.
